One of my friends talked me into going to an Iron Pigs game, which for those of you who have no idea what that is it's triple A baseball (like the Salt Lake Buzz team.) We got the General Admission tickets and sat on the grass. I actually liked the view! Before the game they were practicing hitting and some of the balls were hit over the fence. Our friend Chris got one but gave it to Spence. Doesn't he look thrilled??? He was hot. we ALL were hot. But it was a fun night.
We wanted the "full" baseball experience. If you can't tell what i'm eating it's french fries covered in cheese and topped with delicious bacon. (the top layer was the only edible part because there was too much cheese. but that top layer was still worth it!)
It was a LONG game and to be honest we aren't THAT into baseball so we made do. Spence looked through binoculars throughout the whole game except when he made friends with a neighboring blanket and played their IPOD. Aaron tried his best to get comfy. Lucky we were the only ones smart enough to bring sturdy stadium chairs with backs so we didn't kill ourselves sitting there for 3 hours.
and FINALLY there were fireworks!! We enjoyed them all the way to the car so we could be the first ones out of the parking lot. (We were tired)

Totally cool! I love going to games with fireworks. Make it way more bearable.
How fun! We need to come visit the nortons cuz they are WAY more adventurous than us! My kids would love all this stuff!!
we did! i bought 9 doughnuts and we ate them throughout the day and said the pledge to Spencer's little flag we got at the Betsey Ross visitor center in Philly. we are SUPER patriotic :)
