Not only do i love President's day because Aaron and Spencer get off work and school but i am a huge FAN of all Presidents. In honor of the big day i got out our "Smart about the Presidents for kids" and we studied up on these great men. Some of our favorites are: Taft who got stuck in the white house bathtub; John Quincy Adams who skinny dipped in the Potomac every day and had pet alligators; Andrew Jackson who was in over a 100 duels and carried several bullets in him; and of course one of the "men of the hour," Abraham Lincoln. When someone accused him of being two faced he answered "if i had another face, do you think i would wear this one?" Even though it's Washington and Lincoln's B-days all the Presidents had some interesting stories to share.
I've been to several of the tombs of the US Presidents and fortunately i made it to the ones we celebrate today.

What a great post!! You HAVE to read "Killing Lincoln", and he is coming out with "Killing Kennedy". Should be awesome as well. I am glad you have been to so many. We need to plan another trip.
Lindsay and i were JUST talking about that!!! we could meet somewhere in the middle but that has some historical sights.
